Dogs with glomerulonephritis, which can be caused by Lyme disease or ehrlichiosis, need good food as much as any dog and that does not mean the KD junk that comes in a can.  Both the lists above come highly recommended.  Everyone on these lists knows what it is to have a dog in some stage of renal failure.  The advice comes from experience, the people are caring and nonjudgmental.

Epil-K9:  Tick-borne disease can cause neurological disorders in dogs.  They may be transient, they may not.  The Canine Epilepsy Resource Center's email list has been an immense help for any number of people who have seizuring dogs.

Dodger's List:  Dachshund Orthopedic Disc Group Email Resource  "Dodgerslist is dedicated to Dodger and all of the dogs that have been euthanized unnecessarily and to researching and finding a cure and/or prevention for disc disease."  Amazing knowledge and wonderful support here.

K9NutritionThere is no better place to learn about optimal nutrition for your dog.  Raw feeders rub elbows with those who home cook and those who feed kibble.  Everyone is welcome, the only prerequisite is a desire to do the best you can for your dog.

Guadalupe Rivera's Merlina: A member of Senior Raw Feeding             The most laidback, easy going, nonjudgmental raw feeders on the Internet are found on Senior Raw Feeding.  If you feed raw, or if you want to learn how to introduce a senior dog to raw feeding, you and your older dogs are welcome to join us.  Nothing related to an older dog's health and well-being is off-topic here, as Merlina, who is blind, has IVDD and heart disease (and who is not about to let any of that that stop her) could tell you if she would stop eating.  <g>
